Hi! I'm My, or my friends usually call me, Molly

I’m a penultimate Interaction Design student, majoring in Psychology at the University of Sydney. I'm currently on the lookout for internships to hone my skills and gain more practical experience.

Design journey

My journey into design has been quite the adventure, starting with a detour through Commerce and Law before I found my true calling in design.

What really got me into design was my experience as a set designer for a theater club during my first year in uni. Seeing my work come to life on stage was incredibly fulfilling and reignited my love for creating things. That’s when I knew I needed to switch gears and dive into a career path where I could design and create.

Around the same time, I met a friend who was studying UX/UI design and Psychology. Listening to her talk about how much she enjoyed the course and the field itself felt like a sign. After doing some research, I fell in love with how the field bridges the gap between technology and creativity to create impactful experiences and products. I decided to make the leap and switch my degree to Bachelor of Design Computing and Advanced Studies at the University of Sydney.

Design philosophy

I’m deeply interested in user-centric design. I enjoy conducting user research to understand what people really need and then crafting solutions that are both functional and beautiful. For me, good design is all about solving problems first and looking great while doing it.

Outside of my work, I enjoy learning new digital tools, taking photos with my phone, playing escape room games and video call my cat in Vietnam.
